Johnny Mack Farrington

Johnny Mack Farrington, age 76 of Deep Gap, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Watauga Medical Center.  Mr. Farrington was born February 2, 1945 in Ashe County to the late Walter Glen and Stella Lambert Farrington.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Winfred and Jimmy Farrington. Johnny loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, cutting timber and watching baseball.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Bethany Cemetery by Rev. Daniel Greer.

Mr. Farrington is survived by, his wife, Joyce Trivett Farrington, two sons, John Christopher Farrington of Wilkesboro and Craig Allen Farrington of Fleetwood, one daughter, Melissa Phillips of Deep Gap, one brother, Clayton Farrington of Wagoner, two sisters, Glenda Walters of West Jefferson and Lucy Parsons of Millers Creek.  7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
