Johnny Dale Denny, age 64 of Warrensville, went to his Heavenly home Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Johnny was born December 12, 1954 in Ashe County to the late Rev. Jessie James Denny and Carrie Bell Denny. Johnny was co-owner of Denny Brothers Logging along with his brother Ed Denny.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Merline Winters, Memble Ellis, Mary Hill, and Mickey Denny, an infant brother, Jackie Denny, an infant granddaughter, Gracie, and a special cousin, Dean Blevins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Louise Stuart Denny; a son, Phillip "Buck" Denny and wife Linda of Foscoe; two daughters, Tina Louise Denny Church and husband Gary and Carrie Ellen Denny White and husband Brian, both of Warrensville; four grandchildren, Samantha Brooke Church, Emily Denny Stern and husband Jacob, John Cole Denny, and Brianna Marie White; one great-granddaughter, Caroline LeAnn Stern; three brothers, Ed Denny and wife Bonnie of Warrensville, Joe Denny brother and best friend of Warrensville, and Ralph Denny and wife Carol of West Jefferson; one sister, Ruthie Denny Shoemaker of North Wilkesboro; more than a friend, a special daughter, Jennifer Hall Jones and husband Johnny; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Jim Francis, Minister David Lyalls, Rev. Jamie Denny, and Pastor Julian Owen. Burial will follow in the Denny Cemetery in Warrensville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 U.S. Highway 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640.
The family will be meeting at the home at 124 Denny Hollow Rd. in Warrensville.
