Jonathan Michael Shepherd

Jonathan Michael Shepherd age 30 of West Jefferson died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Shepherd was born in Watauga County to Johnny Michael Shepherd and Brenda Miller Barker. He was preceded in death by his father. Jonathan was of the Baptist Faith, loved his family, loved God and enjoyed reading the Bible. Hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and friends were a great enjoyment for him. Most of all he adored his two boys. Jonathan was an organ donor, through this gift he has touched as many as eight lives.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Greer and Rev. David Brooks.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Shepherd is survived by: his wife Shauna Michelle Shepherd, two sons, Ayden Michael Shepherd and Dalton Alex Shepherd of the home, his mother and step father, Brenda and Roger Lee Barker of West Jefferson, two sisters, Julie Marie Greene of West Jefferson and Angelia Nichole Dillard of Jefferson, his grandmothers, Chelsie Gaultney and Ruth Barker both of West Jefferson, several nieces and nephews also survive.
