Judy Bell Reeves

Judy Bell Reeves, age 81, of West Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Margate Health and Rehab. She was born on February 25, 1943, in Ashe County to Arthur and Georgia McNeil Bell.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilber Wayne "Bill" Reeves, her parents Arthur and Georgia Bell, and her brothers, Benny Bell and Bobby Bell.

She was a faithful member of Beaver Creek Christian Church, where she found joy in her faith community. Judy had a passion for life and cherished simple pleasures like walking, reading, and spending time with her family and her cats.

Judy dedicated many years to childcare, lovingly referring to the children she cared for as her "babies." Her nurturing spirit and genuine love for children touched the lives of many in the community.

She is survived by: four daughters, Robin Reeves of Jefferson, Teressa Sheets (Robbie), Alisa Brown (Jimmy), and Kim Harless (Steve), all of West Jefferson; four grandchildren, Michael Pruitt, Josh Brown (Hunter), Caleb Harless, and Sydney Sheets; two great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Brown and Cavren Brown; several nieces and cousins also survive.

Services for Mrs. Reeves will be private.
