Karen Teresa (Keller) Nieto

Karen Teresa Keller Nieto, age 82 of West Jefferson, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Nieto was born on December 5, 1939 near North English, Iowa to John Gotlieb Keller and Gladys Uretta VanDee Keller. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Miguel Nieto; nine siblings, Kenneth, Marian, Mary Etheldene, Glenn, Francis, Mary Catherine, Kevin, Robert, and most recently, Dorothy Keller.

Mrs. Nieto is survived by:  s tepson, Andrew Nieto (Paula) of California; t hree stepdaughters, Betty Bauman (Mark), Linda Ambrad (Arthur), and Sonja Nieto, all of California; s ister, Doris Keller of West Jefferson; six brothers, Eldon Keller, Darrell Keller, Gary Keller, and Richard Keller, all of Iowa, Carroll Keller and John Keller, both of Arizona; also surviving are four step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Micheal, Kristina, and Rebecca; three step-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Matty and Zoe; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Piney Creek.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 20, 2021 prior to the service at the church.
