Larry Davis Harrison

Larry Davis Harrison, age 76, of Yadkinville, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 at his home. He was born December 17, 1947 to the late William Clinton "Jack" and Sudie Wilma Sparks Harrison in Surry County. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Hartman, step-son, Joseph Dillard Jones, Jr., and wife Linda Day Harrison.

Larry loved sports of all kinds and enjoyed traveling with his family. He was a devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hamptonville, where he found joy in singing alongside his late wife Linda in various church settings. Together, Larry and Linda were inseparable—a true team—wherever one was, the other was sure to be found. Larry and Linda are now reunited in heaven, where they will continue their journey together for eternity in the presence of their Lord and Savior. 

Larry is survived by: two daughters, Dana Reynolds of Kernersville and Kelly Harrison of Huntersville; three step-daughters, Sherry Marie Jones of Hamptonville, Melissa Graham of Yadkinville, and Jeannie Gregory of Hamptonville; one brother, Ronnie Dale Harrison of Winston-Salem; one sister, Deborah H. Moose of Hamptonville; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Wiles and Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in the Day Family Cemetery. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm at the chapel.
