Leonard Mahala
Leonard Mahala, age 93 of the Segraves Care Center died, Monday, October 22, 2002 at the Care Center. Mr. Mahala was born January 6, 1909 in Ashe County to Thomas and Nora Allen Mahala. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ruby Roark Mahala.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 25th at the Three Forks Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Day and Rev. Reeves Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roark-Mahala Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 24th at the Three Forks Baptist Church.
Mr. Mahala is survived by:
One Sister: Virgie Mahala of Creston
Two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
