Lindsay Kay Perkins age 38 of Jefferson died on Monday, September 3, 2018 in Kos, Greece. She was born in Greensboro on December 7, 1979 to John Arthur and Kay Bare Perkins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Kathleen Perkins, maternal grandfather, Fields Bare and her father John Perkins. She graduated from Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, Virginia and the University of Virginia with a degree in Political Science. Lindsay was strong-minded and loved to travel the world. She enjoyed, gardening, cooking, reading, especially history, and caring for animals.
Miss Perkins is survived by, her mother, Kay Bare Perkins of Jefferson, one brother, Travis Perkins and wife Kendra of Jefferson, maternal grandmother, Hazel Stringer Bare of Laurel Springs, one nephew, John Fields Perkins, one niece, Annie Clare Perkins, several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Private graveside services will be held at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Lawrence officiating.
