Lisa Sue Dougherty

Lisa Sue Dougherty, age 51 of Warrensville, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at her home. Ms. Dougherty was born on September 6, 1970 in Ashe County to Walter Ray and Mary Jane Hoosier Dougherty. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and a great-niece, Megan
Price.

Growing up, Lisa attended Clifton United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and book collector. She enjoyed working word searches, watching her favorite shows and traveling to listen to Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys with her mother. Lisa was a fighter; she fought many health issues throughout her life and never complained.

Ms. Dougherty is survived by:  two sisters, Maxine Hoosier and husband James of Lansing and Carol Jones and husband Walter of Warrensville; one brother, Gary Dougherty and wife Annette of Jefferson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. J.C. Darnell.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
