Lisa Michelle Miller, age 54, of Todd, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024 after a hard battle with cancer. Lisa was born in Chester County, PA, to David Arlin Miller and the late Cynthia Joyce Ham Miller. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jennifer “Jenny” Marie Miller.
Lisa was a woman of many passions and talents. She found joy in cooking and planting flowers. she loved basking in the warmth of the sun any chance she could and enjoyed the beauty of nature and Gods creation especially flowers and birds. Lisa was a creative soul who loved crafting and making unique items such as key chains and necklaces. She loved making gifts for others and sharing her artistic gifts with those around her.
Some of her simple pleasures were enjoying great food especially a Smithy Burger and she always loved a good cup of coffee no matter what time of the day it was. Lisa’s heart was full of love for her family and friends but especially her children and grandchildren. She was known for her caring nature and always giving generously to others.
Lisa is survived by three children and four grandchildren; Ala Cockerham and husband Michael Cockerham along with their two children Aliza and Weston of Ferguson; Kaitlyn McCoy along with her son Chace of Jefferson; Austin McCoy and his Fiance Faith along with their son Kayson of West Jefferson.
Lisa is also survived by her father and stepmother, David Arlin and Sharon Miller of Lansing; her three brothers, David Arlin Miller, Jr. of West Jefferson; Colby Miller and his wife Heather of Lansing; Dennis Miller of Lansing, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to honor Lisa’s life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service at Ashelawn. Services will be officiated by Rev. Tommy Dollar and Elder Eddie Lyall. Burial will follow in the Hart Ham Miller Jones Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lisa will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on and forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
