Lorrie Ann (Witherspoon) Roten

Lorrie Ann Witherspoon Roten, age 59 of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Roten was born on November 21, 1962 in Ashe County to the late William and Louise Howell Witherspoon.

Mrs. Roten worked with Ashe County Department of Social Services for many years. She attended Cornerstone Fellowship. Family was very important to Lorrie, she enjoyed traveling and visiting Disney, Clearwater, Biltmore, and Grayson Highlands. Lorrie enjoyed her flowers as well as taking and sharing pictures. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Mrs. Roten is survived by:  her husband, Scott Roten; two daughters, Autumn Chamberlin and husband Cody of Jefferson, and Taryn Boston and husband Marc of Jefferson; two sons, Cory Roten and wife Amber of West Jefferson, and Tyler Roten of Jefferson; one brother, Warren Witherspoon and wife Leona of Jefferson; two sisters, Sandy Witherspoon and Kathy Shepherd, both of Jefferson; five grandchildren, Mia, Isabella, Harper, Gabe, and Emryn; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Todd Brewer. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the heating assistance program in care of Ashe County Department of Social Services.
