Lucy Barker

Lucy Emiline Hart Barker, age 92 of Lansing, died, Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Barker was born October 14, 1911 in Green Cove, Virginia to the late Gaither and Mary Hart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Barker, three sons: Glen, Earl and Donald Barker, a daughter, Bernice Barker and a grandchild, Eddie Barker. Mrs. Barker was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She loved sewing, quilting and gardening.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 30th, at the Landmark Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie McMillian will officiate. Burial will follow in the Howell Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 29th at Badger Funeral Home.

3 daughters: Dorothy Darnell and husband Clarance of Cockranville, PA,
Gay Miller and husband Charles of Newark, DE & Geneva Jumper and husband Leon of Hunlocks Creek, PA

3 sons: Ray Gayle Barker and wife Geraldine of Thoughkennom, PA,
Harvard Barker and wife Brenda of Jefferson, NC & Carl D. Barker of Lansing

1 sister: Lillie Gadd of WV

12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
