Lucy Blankenship

. Mrs. Lucy Testerman Blankenship age 87, of Crumpler, NC died on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Margate Health & Rehab Center in Jefferson, NC. Mrs. Blankenship was born on July 13, 1924 in Ashe County, NC to Lee and Ida Brown Testerman. Including her parents Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by grandchild, Mike Testerman. Mrs. Blankenship was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, shopping and doll collecting. Mrs. Blankenship was a loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charles McCoy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by: five sons, Fred Testerman Jr. and wife Rennie, Michael Testerman and wife Karen, James Testerman all of Wilkesboro, NC, Richard Testerman and Janice of Jefferson, NC John Testerman of Millers Creek, NC,  four daughters, Sue Testerman of Wilkesboro, NC, Ruby Sexton and husband David of Jefferson, NC, Peggy Bledsoe and husband James of Todd, NC and Joyce Testerman of West Jefferson, NC also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
