Lucy Walker

Lucy Darnell Walker age 85 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Walker was born August 15, 1917 in Wilkes County to the late William and Alice Darnell. Her husband, Victor preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 6th at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Shepherd and Rev. Ted Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 till 8:30 PM Wednesday at Badger Funeral Home.

6 Daughters: Amanda Holman of West Jefferson, NC; Kay Calloway of Jefferson, NC;
Helen Barnes of Wilkesboro, NC; Lucille Clifton, Loretta Marsh & Margie Johnson all of Delaware

2 Sons: Jim & Jerry Walker both of Delaware

2 Sisters: Missouri Severt of Millers Creek & Betty Severt of Jefferson

1 Brother: Ardell Darnell of Laurel Springs

13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild several nieces & nephews
