. Mrs. Mable  Pennington  age 86, of Jefferson, NC died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Pennington was born on June 15, 1925 in Ashe County to Issac and Amanda Hunt Bare. In addition to her parents Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gentry Pennington, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wayne Jones. Burial will follow in Roans Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, prior to the service.
