Mamie Stuart

Mamie Dell Adams Stuart, age 85 of Lansing died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at the Segraves Care Center in Jefferson. Mrs. Stuart was born April 27, 1917 in Ashe County to Edward Franklin and Maggie Powers Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delmer Scott "Hank" Stuart, a daughter, Eva Baldwin, a sister, Ruby Stuart, a brother, Donald Adams and a granddaughter, Angela Lynn Stuart.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 21st at the Silas Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Adams and Rev. Tom Stuart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 20th at Badger Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the Sexton Cemetery Fund, c/o Ward Sexton, 1575 Big Piney Creek Rd., Lansing, NC 28643.

4 sons: Edward M. Stuart, Carl Everett Stuart and Delmer Scott Stuart all of Lansing &
Charles Kermit Stuart of West Jefferson

2 Daughters: Betty Sue Redmond of Sparta & Connie Stuart of Lansing

1 Brother: Vernie Adams of Lansing

13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great step grandchildren, several nieces & nephews also survive.
