Margaret Ann (Perry) Taylor

Margaret Ann Perry Taylor, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 75 on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at her home in Lansing, North Carolina. Margaret left behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of her family, friends and everyone she knew.

Margaret was born on October 8, 1947 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late, Elbert and Avis Ham Perry and from the very beginning, she brought joy and happiness into their lives. She was a sister, a daughter, and a friend who brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Perry, a grandson, Samuel Lee Taylor-Davis, nephew, Michael Shaw and niece, Amanda Taylor.

Margaret's greatest role in life was that of a loving wife and devoted mother. She was the heart and soul of her family and a constant source of love, wisdom, and support. As a grandmother, Margaret's eyes would light up with unparalleled joy whenever she spent time with her grandchildren. Margaret's dedication to her family was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and values that will continue to guide her loved ones for generations to come. Margaret was also a dear and loving sister and a friend to many.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 56 years, J.C. Wendell Taylor, two daughters, Veronica Taylor and Jessica Taylor both of Lansing, two sons, Wendall Taylor of Lansing and David Taylor and wife, Brittany of White Top, VA, one brother, Robert Perry and wife, Shirley of Maryland, one sister, Cathy Shaw and husband, Dean of Lansing, two granddaughters, Bryleigh Taylor and Kesleigh Taylor, special friend Ricky Davis, two uncles and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive.

While her physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on in the countless memories and the love she shared with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Badger Funeral Home from 11:00am-12:00pm.  Graveside Services will follow in the Perry-Shepherd Cemetery by Minister David Lyalls.
