Marklyn Lydia Smith

Marklyn Lydia Smith, age 68 of West Jefferson passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at her home. Ms. Smith was born on August 29, 1951 in Jasper, Florida to Mark and Lydia Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Terry Smith and Chester Smith.

Ms. Smith volunteered at Generations Daycare for many years where she enjoyed reading to the children. She attended Faith Fellowship and later attended Restoration Church. She loved to color, do needlepoint, and sing. Ms. Smith had a one of a kind personality and was loved by all who knew her.

Ms. Smith is survived by many friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Roy Putman.

Per Marklyn's request she was laid to rest in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
