Mary Bell Jones Blevins age 85 of Lansing passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Blevins was born in Ashe County on Saturday, November 13, 1937 to the late Ralston Levi and Verda Allen Jones. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Dean Blevins, Sr., son, Thomas Dean Blevins, Jr., brothers, J.R. Jones, Farris Jones, J.D. Jones; sister, Patsy Lewis and son in-law, Rick Wurth. Mrs. Blevins was an employee of Leviton Manufacturing for 38 years. She was a faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1:00pm at Landmark Baptist Church by Brother Tommy Wurth, Rev. Jimmy Williams and Brother Dennis Eller. Burial will follow in the Blevins Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:00pm prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Blevins is survived by: two daughters, Norma Hartzog and husband Rick and Karen Wurth both of Lansing, three grandchildren, Tim Hartzog, Bro. Tommy Wurth, Robby Wurth, one step granddaughter, Jenny Wurth, three great-grandchildren, Timothy Hartzog, Samuel Wurth, Abigail Wurth, one step great-grandson, Ethan Aloia; one brother, Johnny Jones of Laurel Bloomery, TN, five sisters, Arzella Roush, May Johnson, Bonnie Lewis all of Mtn. City, TN, Barbara Roush and Kay Roush both of Creston; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church Mission Fund in care of Robert Wurth; 3966 Silas Creek Rd. Lansing, NC 28643.
