Mary Lou (Sheets) Severt

Mary Lou Sheets Severt, age 78 of West Jefferson, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Severt was born on April 18, 1944 in Ashe County, North Carolina to Doughton and Fairs Hamby Sheets. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arvil Severt, brothers, Doughton "Bud" Sheets, Carl Sheets, Dean Sheets and Coy Sheets. She enjoyed word searches and puzzles.

Mrs. Severt is survived by: one son, Charles Price of West Jefferson; one daughter, Peggy Blevins of West Jefferson, two grandsons, Chad Patrick and Brandon Patrick. three brothers, Hobert Sheets of Watauga, Fred Sheets of Lenoir and Cecil Sheets of Jefferson, her caregiver, Kaylie and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Roger Blevins and Pastor Jake Testerman.

In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
