Carrol Dean Miller better known as "Cad "age 74 of Lansing died on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Miller was born in Ashe County on August 26, 1939 to the late Alonzo and Ida Ray Taylor Miller. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roy Miller and sister, Irene Miller. Cad enjoyed being in the outdoors and riding motorcycles. Mr. Miller was a member of Apple Grove Baptist Church in Lansing.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:00pm at Apple Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Julian Owen and Rev. Lonnie Jones. Burial will follow in the Pennington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Badger Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller is survived by; his wife, Nettie Perry Miller, two sons, Rex Miller and Robert Dean Miller both of Lansing, one daughter, Teresa Ann Jones of Grassy Creek, six brothers, John Miller, Bruce Miller, Paul Miller, Keithel Miller all of Lansing, Gordon Miller of Jefferson and Mack Johnson of High Point, four sisters, Sadie Arnold of Creston, Freda Blevins of Whitetop, Rose Price of Creston and Candy Blevins of Warrensville; also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
