Mr. Danny Griffitts

Mr. Danny Griffitts age 69, of Lansing, NC died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Griffitts was born April 29, 1945 in Lansing, NC to Clarence and Esther Pennington Griffitts. Mr. Griffitts was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Angela, brothers, Harold and Tony Griffitts and sister, Maxine Hanks. He loved to hunt, fish and look for arrowheads. Mr. Griffitts served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in the shipping department at Thomasville Furniture for many years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sturgills Baptist Church by Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Joey McClure. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service at Sturgills Baptist Church.

Mr. Griffitts is survived by: Wife, Darlene Baldwin Griffitts, Brother, Gary Griffitts of Lansing also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
