Mr. James Norris Carter

Mr. James Norris Carter age 72, of Fleetwood, NC died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Carter was born November 30, 1943 in Ashe County to Mathus and Ruby Badger Carter. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ray Carter and Carl Carter. Mr. Carter attended Gillispie Community Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed hiking, gardening, reading, fishing and watching football. He retired from United Chemi-Con after over 45 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Francis. Burial will follow in Perry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Carter is survived by: Wife, Patricia Carter, Sons, Mark Carter and Gary Carter both of Fleetwood, Sister, Sylvia Barker of Lansing also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
