Mr. John Simcox

Mr. John Bascom Simcox age 82, of Creston, died on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Simcox was born on January 4, 1934 in , TN to Dana and Ruth Brown Simcox. Mr. Simcox was preceded in death by his parents, & sister, Irene Stike. Mr. Simcox served in the US Army during the Korean era. He worked for Thomasville Furniture for 25 years. He enjoyed, hunting and working on the farm with his cattle and bees. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved spending time with his family. He attended Big Laurel Mennonite Church in Creston.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Farmer & Brother Ralph Smith. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Simcox is survived by: wife, Betty Jo Simcox, son, Ernest Simcox of Creston, three brothers, Delmer Simcox of Maryland, Mike Simcox of Zionville, Frank Simcox of Deep Gap, three sisters, Carolyn Beebe of Mountain City, TN, Virginia Davis, Mary Sue Maine both of Kernersville, one grandson, Joshua Simcox; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
