Mr. Lowell Jackson Blevins Sr

Mr. Lowell Jackson Blevins Sr. age 82, of Creston, died on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Mr. Blevins was born on May 20, 1934 in Filbert, WV to William Howard and Bertha Cox Blevins. Mr. Blevins was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Harold Blevins, Jimmy Blevins, Don Blevins, William Blevins, and one son, Jimmy "Jim" Blevins. Mr. Blevins Retired from Sara Lee Knit Products, and he truly loved being a long haul truck driver. Lowell was a member of the Riverview Lions Club, he enjoyed fishing, bluegrass music, dancing and cooking. He most enjoyed spending time with the family and having cookouts.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Rock Creek Baptist Church by Brother Anthony Roark. Burial will follow in Blevins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Blevins is survived by: son, Glenn Blevins & wife Kathy of Mountain City, TN, daughter, Bertha Lee Houser & husband Bobby of Creston, daughter, Charlene Blankenbeckler & husband Roger of Mountain City, daughter, Patricia "Pat" Lowther & husband Ray of WV, son, Lowell Blevins, Jr. & wife Marilyn of Creston, daughter, Mary Eastridge & husband Jerry of Warrensville, daughter, Sheri Plum & fiancé Douglas Stull of West Virginia, daughter-in law, Patricia Blevins of Creston, one brother, Ambrose Jay Blevins better known as Jay. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and was anticipating the arrival of two more great grandchildren.
