Mr. Max Bare age 80, of West Jefferson, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Bare was born on May 27, 1934 in Ashe County to the late Murrl and Teenie Absher Bare. Mr. Bare was a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church. He worked for Kraft Foods before working for West Jefferson Elementary School as a custodian. Max enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family and friends on the porch.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at Friendly Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Kevin York, and Rev. Rex Eldreth. Burial will follow in Friendly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Friendly Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Bare is survived by: his wife, Tharon Harless Bare, son, Keith Bare and wife Teresa of West Jefferson, daughter, Angela Roland and husband Randy of Warrensville, brother, Bobby Bare of Jefferson, sister, Norma Bryant of Ft. Myers, FL, four grandchildren, Kymberlee Roland, Morgan Roland, Shane Bare, Kayla Bare; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
