Mr. Ray Caldwell

Mr. Marion Ray Caldwell age 77, of Crumpler, died on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home. Mr. Caldwell was born on April 30, 1940 in to John William and Elsie Chatham Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter Tom Caldwell, Herbert Fields Caldwell, sisters, Janet Sue Gomez, Nell Pollard, and daughter, Alissa Sue Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a past member of the Bass Club. Ray was also a member of New River Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at New River Baptist Church by Rev. Wayne Jones. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, July 7, 2017 at New River Baptist Church.

Mr. Caldwell is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Linda Reedy Caldwell, daughter, Shelia Caldwell Shatley of Crumpler, brother, Gary Caldwell of LA, sisters, Sally Wood of MD, Mae Pugh of West Jefferson, three grandchildren, Amber Maxwell, Abbigail Caldwell, Caleb Shatley, two great-grandchildren, Bently Maxwell, Kaylee Maxwell; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
