Mrs. Birdie Irene Caudill Campbell age 81, of Lenoir formerly of Ashe County, died on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Grandview Villa Assisted Living in Lenoir. Mrs. Campbell was born on June 8, 1933 in Ashe County, to Dewey & Edna Testerman Caudill. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Desmond Caudill, sister, Ethel Lyalls and her husband, Elmer Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was a member of West Lenoir Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rick Safriet. Burial will follow in Dixon - Testerman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Badger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by: son, Richard Campbell & wife Sandra of Lenoir, daughter, Patty Elliott & husband Gale of West Jefferson, three Brothers, Clifford Caudill of Lansing, Gary Caudill & Blair Caudill both of Lenoir, sister, Bonnie Jones of Wilkesboro, two grandchildren, Elaine May & husband Curtis, Belinda Gilley & husband Joe, four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Matt, Abby, special friend, George Keller; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Grandview Villa Assisted Living, 2544 Grandview Cir SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
