Mrs. Clora Virginia Lewis Lefevers age 94, of Creston, NC died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. Mrs. Lefevers was born June 27, 1920 to Ben and Litha Lewis. Mrs. Lefevers was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie A. Lefevers, Daughter, Andrea Lefevers Barnes, Son, William "Shorty" Lefevers, Infant Son, Raymond and great grandson, David Jones. She was a member of Valley Home Baptist Church. Clora retired from Knox Knitting Co. She enjoyed cooking, bluegrass music, gardening, quilting and reading her bible. She loved spending time with people, especially babies and always made others feel welcome.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Valley Home Baptist Church by Rev. Charles McCoy and Rev. Ken Holmes. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, prior to the service at Valley Home Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lefevers is survived by: Three sons, Clinton Lewis of Mobile, AL, Carl David (Jewell) Lewis of Boone and Johnny (Mary) Lefevers of Zionville, Two sisters, Annie Jane Lakey of Bandie, VA, and Matti Mae Lefevers of Creston, Brother, Marvin Lewis of Todd, Special Friend, Sue Roten, Caregivers, Peggy Jones and Mildred Mahaffey, Five Grandchildren, Phylllis Thomas, Susan Barnes, Renee Harp, Charity Councill and Pat Jones, also surviving are 8 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
