Mrs. Goldie Ellen Testerman age 92, of Lansing, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Testerman was born September 8, 1922 in Ashe County, to James Victor Testerman and Susie Testerman Barker. Mrs. Testerman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Millard William Testerman, son, Ronnie Testerman, four brothers, Lewis Testerman, Elmer Testerman, Fred Testerman and Edd Testerman, sister, Edith Mae Mitchell, and great-grandson, Tanner Pruitt. Mrs. Testerman enjoyed working in her garden, cooking for family and friends, quilting, sewing, and crocheting.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Sheets. Burial will follow in Dixon-Testerman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Mrs. Testerman is survived by: two sons, James Testerman and wife Louise of Newton, NC and Alan Testerman and wife Debbie of Mouth Of Wilson, VA, daughter, Betty Greer and husband Jack of Millers Creek, brother, Delmus Testerman of Bristol, VA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
