Lillie Rose Shepard Holman, 69, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
She was born on June 29, 1945 in Ashe County, to the late Leabelle Perry Shepard Stamper and Luther Edward Shepard. Mrs. Holman was retired from Southern Manufacturing in Charlotte and attended Wiggins Road Baptist Church in Mooresville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Worth Stamper; sisters, Ethel Jones and Virginia Shepard.
Rose is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wendell "Bud" Holman; children, Regina Jackson and husband, Les of Harrisburg, NC, Edwina "Sissy" Champion and husband, Steve of Belmont, NC, Cindy Horton and husband, Jerry of Cleveland, NC, Selina Pryor and husband, Tommy of Alma, GA; sisters, Louellen Fleming, Edna Johnson, Mary Barr, Anita Severt, Lisa Richardson; brothers, Dennis Stamper, Donnie Stamper, Danny Stamper; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and also on Tuesday, January 6 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Badger Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at The Bethany Cemetery in West Jefferson.
