Mrs. Loretta Darnell Sharpe

Mrs. Loretta Darnell Sharpe age 67, of West Jefferson, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Sharpe was born June 28, 1946 in Ashe County to Charlie and Bertha Bullins Darnell. Mrs. Sharpe was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Julia Trainor. Mrs. Sharpe loved her family and was a caregiver to her family. She loved to read and go shopping.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 7:30 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Chuck Call. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Sharpe is survived by: Her husband, Walter Max Sharpe, two sons, Keith Hart and Gilbert Sharpe, two daughters, Kena Trainor and husband Dennis of Lansing and Kelly Matney and husband Timmy of Hayes, two step daughters, Jatanna Sharpe of Wilkesboro and Susie Baldwin and husband Danny of Jefferson, one brother, Rev. J. C. Darnell of Warrensville, one sister, Percilla Little of Warrensville, two step-brothers, Billy Dean Lambert of Jefferson and Gary Lambert of Millers Creek, one step-sister, Barbara Hale of Sieverville, TN, six grandchildren, Marixa Hart, Justin Lyons, Dennis Trainor III, Kaitlyn Hahn, Colby Baldwin and Logan Sharpe, five great-grandchildren, Damian Larson, Brooklyn Larson, Jordan Larson, Taya Mathis and Camryn Larson, one niece and one nephew.
