Mrs. Ora Beatrice Watson Phillips

Mrs. Ora Beatrice Watson Phillip age 96, of Fleetwood, NC died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Glenbridge Health & Rehab Center. Mrs. Phillips was born August 30, 1919 in Ashe County to Columbus and Bessie Phillips Watson. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joseph James Phillips and daughter, Barbara Ann Phillips. Mrs. Phillips enjoyed reading and crafting. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church while her health allowed. She was a loving mother, sister, neighbor and friend.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church by Rev. Paul Coffey. Burial will follow in Gap Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by: 4 Daughters, Shirley Stanley of DE, Darline Miller of Vilas, Janette Brooks and Linda Greer both of Fleetwood, 4 Sisters, Arlie Brown and Violet Osborne both of MD, Mary May of Lansing and Evelyn Neaves of Reedsville also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Gap Creek Cemetery Fund.
