Mrs. Pansy Mae Patrick Burgess age 67, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Burgess was born May 19, 1947 in Ashe County to Paul and Stella Miller Patrick. Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ron Patrick, and sister, Virginia Driver. Mrs. Burgess enjoyed flowers, animals especially dogs and birds. She loved listening to country music and loved to talk to people and tell stories.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Danny Dodds. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2014 prior to the service.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by: her husband of 49 years Carlton Burgess, two sisters, Shirley Ellison of Hickory & Nancy Ellison of Jefferson, four brothers, LeRoy Patrick of West Jefferson, Floyd Patrick of Elkin, Bobby Patrick of Piney Creek and Jerry Patrick of Chestnut Hill. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Ebenezer Cemetery Fund,.
