Mrs. Willa Mae Miller Claycomb age 88, of West Jefferson, NC died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Claycomb was born February 11, 1926 in Lansing, NC toWilliam and Clora Stansberry Miller. Mrs. Claycomb was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marvin Claycomb,and brother, Denver Miller. Mrs. Claycomb was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She love to crochet, bake, paint and spend time with people. She loved to travel and had visited all the lower 48 states.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church by Rev. Owen Peeler. Entombment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Claycomb is survived by: one son, William Claycomb and wife Linda of Kennett Square, PA, one sister, Mildred Wallace of West Jefferson, three grandchildren, William E. Claycomb, Mark (Faith) Claycomb and Jennier Calderon, six great- grandchildren, Crystal Eldreth, Katelyn Claycomb, Katrina Colderon, Mark Claycomb, Zack Claycomb and Joshua Coldiron, one great-great-grandchild, Luke Eldreth and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church 519 NC Hwy. 194 S.West Jefferson, NC 28694.
