Ms. Priscilla Smith Wood

Ms. Priscilla Smith Wood age 47, of Wilkesboro, NC formerly of Ashe County died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Ms. Wood was born on July 16, 1965 in Ashe County to Thomas Ralph and Dora Turner Smith. Ms. Wood was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro. She was owner and manager of Ashe Abattoir for over twenty years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Mount Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Kent Wood. Burial will follow in Severt Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Badger Funeral Home.

Ms. Wood is survived by: Two daughters, Crystal Renee Johnson and husband Will of North Wilkesboro and Whitney Nicole Wood of Wilkesboro, her parents, Ralph and Dora Smith of West Jefferson, one brother, Daniel Smith and wife Joyce of Canton and several nieces and nephews.
