Myrtle Combs Gilley

Mrs. Myrtle Combs Gilley age 86, of Jefferson died on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gilley was born on September 29, 1928 in Jefferson, NC to John Bud and Ettie Sexton Combs. Mrs. Gilley was preceded in death by her parents, two son, David Gilley, and Steven Gilley. Mrs. Gilley enjoyed gardening.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Jim Greer. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Gilley is survived by: husband, George E. Gilley, four daughters, Linda (Ronnie) Massey of Crumpler, Barbara Baker of Warrensville, Christine (Sammy) Mullis of Jefferson, Penny Rose of Myrtle Beach, SC, son, Lonnie (Kimberly) Gilley of West Jefferson, sister, Emma Rink of Wilkerson, NC also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
