Myrtle Rose Miller

Myrtle Rose Miller, age 95, of Laurel Springs, NC died on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson. Mrs. Miller was born on April 20, 1917 in Laurel Springs, NC to the late Fred and Hattie Sheets Rose. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Miller, and two sons, Brice Miller and Wayne Miller. She had worked at Cartex Cotton Mill in Salisbury.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Ed Hall. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Miller is survived by: Daughter, Janie M. Pippin and husband Frazier of Laurel Springs, Daughter-In-Law, Patsy Miller of Jefferson, Daughter-In-Law, Carolyn Miller of Winston Salem, Grandchild, Sherry Priddy of Walnut Cove, Grandchild, Cindy Miller of Winston Salem, Grandchild, David Miller of Winston Salem, Grandchild, Gina Miller Steel of West Jefferson, Grandchild, Brandon Greene of SC, Grandchild, David Pippin of Atlanta, GA also surviving are nine great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Alleghany County Hospice.
