Naoma Ruth (Padgett) Blevins

Naoma Ruth Padgett Blevins, age 98 of West Jefferson, died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Ashe Assisted Living.  Mrs. Blevins was born April 12, 1921 in Carroll County, VA to the late John and Corra Smith Padgett.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred William Blevins and all her sisters and brothers.  Naoma loved flowers, embroidery and collecting many varieties of ducks.  She loved spending time with her family and making them laugh.  She was a very giving person and one never left her home without something from her.

A private graveside service will be held at Howell Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by, son, William Dean Blevins of West Jefferson, daughters, Linda Kaye Grubb of West Jefferson, Carrol Joyce Cratchfield of Spotsylvania, VA and Nancy Carolyn Jones of Sylva, NC. 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
