Nell Atwood Howell

Nell Atwood Howell, age 78 of Jefferson, NC died Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Howell was born September 20, 1940 to the late Calvin and Gladys McGuire Atwood.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Howell, grandson, Sean Cerda, sisters, Jean Atwood, Faye Dunn and Rosella Shatley, brothers, Kenneth Atwood and Wade Atwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day.  Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.

Mrs. Howell is survived by, sons, David Howell and wife Shelia of Lansing and Jimmy Howell and wife Christine of Crumpler, daughter, Janet Schoppe and husband Donald of Colfax, brother, Delbert Atwood of PA, sisters, Barbara Barker of Jefferson and Maxine Friesland of West Jefferson, grandchildren, Michael Howell, Crystal Howell and Amanda Cruthis, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
