Nona Roland Houck

Nona Roland Houck, age 95 of Todd, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Generations Ashe Assisted Living.  Mrs. Houck was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on February 13, 1927 to the late Lee and Opal Osborne Roland.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milton Houck, one sister, Bobbie Burton and one brother, Edgar Roland. Nona enjoyed sewing and gardening, she also liked to travel and read.

Mrs. Houck is survived by, one daughter, Sharon Duvall and husband, Joe of Crumpler, one son, Barry Houck and wife, Joy of Todd, two sisters, Evelyn Jones of Warrensville and Linda Bare of Fleetwood.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Amy Santiago, Joseph Duvall Jr. and Jason Duvall, two step-grandchildren, Amanda Miller and Josh Poe, four great-grandchildren, Phillip Santiago, Anna Duvall, Andrew Duvall and David Duvall, step-great-grandchildren, Addison Miller, Benson Miller, Malory Poe and Pryia Poe.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private service for family and close friends will be held.
