Oren Elliott Howell

Oren Elliott Howell, age 75 of Piney Creek, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home.  Mr. Howell was born October 26, 1945 in Ashe County to the late Ed and Betty Howell.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Bailey Howell and eight brothers and sisters.  Mr. Howell retired from Parker Tie in 2017 after 54 years of service.  He was hard worker and loved farming and riding his tractor.  He loved his family more than anything.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Friday, July 9, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. J. D. Walton, Rev. Jonathan Stansberry and Elder Eddie Lyle.  Burial will follow in the Bald Mtn. Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Howell is survived by, 3 sons, Ricky Howell of the home, Gary Howell and wife Stephanie of Wilkesboro and Tim Howell and wife Amy of Lansing, his fiancé, Ruby Ham, 2 sisters, Ruth Shepherd of Kannapolis and Kitty Jennings and husband Rick of Wilkesboro, 1 brother, Joe Howell and wife Vicki of Kannapolis. 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
