Pearl Ruth (Woodard) Osborne

Pearl Ruth Woodard Osborne, age 89 of West Jefferson died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Osborne was born August 29, 1928 in Ashe County to the late Sam and Hattie Arnold Woodard. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Fred Osborne Sr., sisters, Opal Graybeal and Ruby Potter, brothers, Ulysses “Woodie” Woodard and John Woodard.

She was an avid reader and loved quilting and embroidery. She also loved going to yard sales and spending time with her pet squirrels.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by: Son, Lester Fred Osborne Jr. and daughter in-law Yaeko Osborne of Maryland, grandchildren, Barbara and Leslie, great-grandchildren, Aeriell, Michelle and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews
