Peggy Jean Milam Wyatt

Peggy Jean Milam Wyatt, passed away on April 25, 2024, at Forest Ridge Assisted Living, she was 74 years old. Peggy was born on March 11, 1950 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Eugene and Mildred Pauline Latham Milam. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gale Dean Wyatt as well as two sisters, Patsy Ann Richardson and Linda Castine Howell.

Peggy's love for music was evident to all who knew her. She had a special affinity for the timeless tunes of Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley, and her home was often filled with the sounds of their melodies. Peggy found solace and happiness in the music she cherished.

In addition to her love for music, Peggy had a green thumb and a talent for gardening. She spent countless hours tending to her flowers with care and devotion.

Peggy's creativity extended beyond her garden to her crafting endeavors. She had a knack for turning simple materials into beautiful works of art and her handmade creations filled her home.

Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by her friends, family and all who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Mrs. Wyatt is survived by two brothers, Joseph Eugene Milam of Creston and Thomas Dewey Milam of Fleetwood and two sisters, Jackie Billings of Ronda and Beth Milam of Creston.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 1:00pm at Badger Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Rash. Burial will follow in the Milam Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm one hour prior to the service.
