Peter DiVenere

Peter Frank DiVenere, age 85 of West Jefferson, NC, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at his home. Mr. DiVenere was born April 15, 1920 in Bristol, CT to the late Thomas and Carmella DiVenere. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Thomas.

Mr. DiVenere was a retired Captain in the US Army where he served over 23 years. He was a veteran of WWII. He managed the Elk Lodge in San Jose, CA. Mr. DiVenere's many interests included; photography, poetry writing and golf. He owned Pete's Bar in CA, after retiring from the military. He also taught in the military and at Boden College in Maine.

A Gathering of Friends will be held form 11:00 AM till 12:00 Noon, Friday,
November 4, 2005 at Badger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to:

Three daughters: Tamara DiVenere of West Jefferson, NC, Tommie Jean Olds of Hollywood, CA and Angie Stansberry of Lansing, NC

One son: Peter Dennis DiVenere of Ashburn, VA

Two sisters: Gracie Kolwolski and Elizabeth DiVenere both of Bristol, CT

Two brothers: Dominic DiVenere of Iverton, CT and Matthew DiVenere of Jacksonville, FL

3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
