Phyllis (Greer) Hart

Phyllis Greer Hart, age 73 of West Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Hart was born on March 27, 1949 in Ashe County to Allen Clay Greer, better known as Clay, and Ada Welch Greer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rev. Denton Hart.

Mrs. Hart enjoyed going on walks and watching western movies. She always loved traveling and visiting places with her daughter.

Mrs. Hart is survived by:  one daughter, Kristy Hart of Mooresville; two brothers, Larry (Glenna) Greer of Davidson and Carter Greer of Ashe County; one sister, Jewell (Bruce) Greer of Lansing; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Russell Hart. Entombment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

The family respectfully requests no food or flowers please. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
