Ralph Herman Denny

Ralph Herman Denny, age 72 of West Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Mr. Denny was born on August 26, 1950 in Ashe County to Rev. Jessie James Denny and Carrie Bell Keys Denny. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David "Jess" Denny; brothers, Ed Denny, Johnny Denny, Joe Denny, and infant brother Jackie Denny; and sisters, Merline Winters, Memble Ellis, Mary Hill, and Mickey Denny.

Mr. Denny enjoyed spending time outside, farming and working with his cows, working with his brothers in the sawmill business, and watching Westerns on television especially John Wayne.

Mr. Denny is survived by:  his wife, Carol Maye Denny; two granddaughters, Alyssa Miller (Cody) of Millers Creek and Ashley Barr (Matt) of Crumpler; one sister, Ruthie Shoemaker of North Wilkesboro; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

A graveside service will be held following the visitation at the Johnson-Denny Cemetery in Warrensville by Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Julian Owen.
