Ralph E. Miller

Ralph E. Miller, age 96 of Glendale Springs, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mr. Miller was born on Monday, December 8, 1924 in Ashe County to the late Lee and Mira E. Miller.  In addition to his parents Ralph was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby J. Miller, son, Perry Miller, two sisters and four brothers.

Mr. Miller served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He was known as an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Ralph raised cattle and loved to work in his garden.  Mr. Miller was a member of Glendale Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be private.

Mr. Miller is survived by: one daughter, Dianne Gendron and husband Dan of Boone; one brother, Clifford “Ford” Miller of Marion, NC; five grandchildren, Christy Phillips Grill and Donovan Phillips, both of Boone, Tate Phillips of Charlotte, Branson Phillips of Dawsonville, GA, and Kinnan Johnson of Statesville; also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Glendale Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
