Raymond Gochnauer,

Mr. Raymond Brown Gochnauer, Jr., age 84, of Warrensville, NC died on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. Gochnauer was born on February 12, 1927 in Chester, PA to the late Raymond Brown and Gladys Smith Gochnauer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gochnauer was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Weaver Gochnauer and a grandchild. Mr. Gochnauer was an Army veteran who served in World War II. He retired as a supervisor from Sprague Electric Company. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer by Father Stephen Miller. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gochnauer is survived by: two daughters, Sharon Hodgson and husband Larry, of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Phoebe Gochnauer and husband Randy Hartzog, of West Jefferson, NC; two stepdaughters, Geneva White of Huntsville, AL, and Helen Weaver of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
