Reba Price Houser

Reba Price Houser age 80 of Creston died on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Houser was born in Ashe County on July 6, 1936 to David and Elizabeth Mahala Price. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest Houser, son, Norman Lee Houser, Sisters, Belvie, Carlie, Eula Dean, Della Losannie, Emma Ellen, Julia Viola, and brother, Elmer Walter. Reba was a member of Little Laurel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, and making candy. Reba was known as a kind hearted person, always caring for others.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Rickey Mitchell and Rev. Jimmy Galgano. Burial will follow in Houser Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.
Mrs. Houser is survived by: three sons, Ernest Houser & wife Teresa of Whitetop, VA, Danny Houser & wife Melissa of Mountain City, TN and Dallas Houser of Great Falls, MT, two daughters, Rose Cox & husband Ray of Creston and Lisa Houser of Boone, two step-sons, Robert Houser & wife Bertha of Creston and Larry Houser & wife Terri of Morganton, one step-daughter, Barbara Shatley of Warrensville, one sister, Iva Lee Blevins of Creston; also surviving are, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
